March Book Wrap Up (reviews)
The Diary of an Oxygen Thief
( TW: substance, emotional and sexual abuse, self - harm)
It's about a man narrating his experience struggling with alcohol and his hobby of hurting women, throughout the book we see how much pain he caused to others, himself, and at the end how he gets karma.
There were stuff described in the book that were a little hard/triggering to read
I think this book is perfect to describe how important is to be emotional intelligent, in this case the narrator besides hurting others he took out his pain through substance abuse, all because of his lack of emotional intelligence and inability to cope and acknowledge in a healthy way with his trauma.
So I think this book does a great job portraying how neglacting that side of us can affect many areas of our lives and other people too.

I Fear My Pain Interests You by Stephanie LaCava
(TW: Drug addiction, abusive relationships, family trauma, depression and self harm)
Margot is the daughter of her famous punk parents .
After a bad breakup she decided to go to Montana, she then meets this mysterious doctor who quickly becomes her love situationship, he then made her aware of her neurological condition she didn't know, she had called congenital analgesia, which means the inability of a person to feel physical pain.
This new fact about herself makes her the center of attention of the man's desires.
The only thing i didn't like as much about this book was the dialogue and the pacing, it was a bit confusing at first, but overrall i think its a great book and you also get a clear picture of the aesthetic and overall vibe being told.
BTW, this book had so many relatable quotes

Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë
So far this has been the best novel I've read.
After her mother died, Jane was adopted by her Uncle Reed who was her mother's brother. After he dies he made his wife Mrs Reed promise she'll take good care of Jane.
Jane then lives with her aunt and her three cousins who dislike her and abuse her constanly. Her pain and loneliness made her more intelligent and independent.
She later on she takes a position in Thornfield Hall as a governess which unravels new adventures, secrets and a romance between her and her employer Mr Rochester.
I love how Charlotte narrates the characters's feelings so passionatly that the depth of their emotions is also deeply felt by the readers.
Overall the book is beautifully written and the story will get you hooked 100%
Fun Fact: Stephanie Meyer got inspo from Jane Eyre while writting Twilight.

The Floating Girls by Lo Patrick
It starts taking place in a isolated town in Georgia during a hot, humid summer when a 12 year old girl named Kay met a boy named Andy who quickly became her crush. As soon as their friendship began it brought problems right away with Kay's family. There was a secret being kept for years and Kay became more and more curious to find out the truth.
While Kay's character was fierce and brave she was also so obnoxious🙄
I would give it overall 3/3.5 stars, the last part of the ending I did not liked so if it weren't for that i would give it like 4 stars, it's not a bad story tho.
GENRES: Mystery, Southern Fiction, Domestic Fiction.
